The state of Tamil Nadu is popularly known for its temple architecture; here visitors can visit the huge temple complexes.Temples in Tamil Nadu tour were the fulcrum of society and even today art forms that have their origin in religious worship continue to colour daily life.

The Tamils have always been a God fearing lot and are great worshippers of Shiva, Vishnu, Parvati and Lakshmi Subramanya. Vinayaka or Pillayar also known as Ganapati or Ganesh is perhaps the most worshipped of the gods.

There are more than 30,000 temples in this sate; which has given Tamil Nadu the title, "Land of Temples". The resemblance of the temples in Tamil Nadu constructed over the years by the different rulers is the gopuram or the imposing tower over the entrance.

The capital of Tamil Nadu, Chennai, is the destination for many who are looking for five-star luxury accomodations.
